You tell me you are broadminded,

Let me see how broadminded you are.

We all know the simple facts of life;

We know what their workings are.

But that doesn’t make you different from me,

For even the creatures know that,

For those are only the natural things

They are commonly known, they’re old hat.

But what do you know of the FACTS OF DEATH ?

For you don’t dare to die without.

God has given to us His Holy Word

To tell what it’s all about.

He has written it down in simple words

To suit the simple like me,

He has plainly told what is after death.

WHERE will YOU spend ETERNITY?

Tell me, what did God make this mudball for?

Just what was His purpose and plan?

For He must have had a good reason,

Why else would He ever make man?

Then He made him a creature with reasoning,

To fathom, and to understand.

He deals with us so, while we live here below,

His book tells it, plain as words can.

Now we each one know that a doorpost is DEAD,

But it doesn’t know we are ALIVE.

Can you tell me if I have Spiritual life?

Or as dead as that post you abide.

For the Spiritual is, as the natural,

Only those who have life will know.

So I ask you now where your broadmind is?

If this angle on life you don’t know.

Tell me, what was God’s plan and purpose

In sending His begotten Son?

To shed His blood on a cruel cross

Which He need not ever have done.

Do you think it was but a simple thing

For God to allow Him to die?

There was NO OTHER way of SALVATION

To bring man at last to His side.

I still want to know how broadminded you are,

God has told it all in His Word.

Have you searched along this train of truth?

Or are you scared of the search?

You would sure find something you cannot learn

From any earthly source.

For natural man knows not things of God,

They belong not to this universe.

Now if you are really broadminded,

You’ll not fear what may come forth,

And I can tell you it’s worth it all

To know God’s truth here on earth.

For to know for certain, I’ve ETERNAL LIFE,

Given me by God, through His Son,

I would not exchange it for ALL THERE IS,

Not for ALL THAT IS UNDER THE SUN.
