Are you clothed in a suit of armour,
To stand against Satan’s wiles?
For God says in Ephesians we need it,
If we would stand undefiled.
Then if you were going to battle,
You wouldn’t start MAKING your suit,
But obtain the best you could have on,
From the top of your head to your boots.
If you’re wearing a suit of armour
With a HOMEMADE label inside,
Then Satan will SURE find its WEAKNESS,
There has NEVER been one could abide.
But God tells us in sixth of Ephesians
Of the PERFECT guard for each part,
Satan’s DARTS have NOT YET penetrated;
There is VICTORY there from the start.
There’s a GIRDLE, a BREASTPLATE and FOOTWEAR,
A SHIELD and a HELMET and SWORD.
Pray withal, and with supplication
In Spirit, as unto our Lord.
