It is most important not only what we hear, but how well we hear. For heaven to be our eternal home, we need to build our house of life on a sure foundation, and that foundation is Christ Himself and his teachings or words.
His remark showed how deeply he had learned to value the importance of righteousness. The visitor turned to his Bible and there read how God had Himself devised a righteous way to save unrighteous sinners.
Just as in these four seasons the seed is caused to grow, It’s by our hard experience, God’s way for us we know. God brings in us maturity by warmth and heat and chill, That we may help another, and offer comfort still.
So we now remember at this time of the year, The birth of Christ the Saviour and all He came to bear. He grew up into manhood - died upon a cross of shame, He gave His life a ransom - glory to His name.
A fool is not only quick to air his own opinions but also promotes or propagates his foolishness to others. Proverbs 16:22 says, “ the instruction of fools is folly.” The fool contaminates the rest of society ... but true believers are blessed to have the Spirit of wisdom.
