WHY I NEED A SAVIOUR — BECAUSE I’M A SINNER

Being a sinner means: Thinking and doing that which is wrong.

God says that “we have all sinned” and that “there is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away”. Romans 3:10-12 & 23.

He also says, that like silly sheep we have gone astray & are lost. “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own waf. Isaiah 53:6

IF I’M LOST-then I surely NEED A SAVIOUR

THE SAVIOUR LIVES In a wonderful place called Heaven

Jesus is there now, preparing a place for those who love and serve Him. Get your Bible and read John’s Gospel, Chapter 14.

IN HEAVEN THERE IS: NO SORROW NO PAIN NO TEARS NO DEATH NO NIGHT NO SIN

“Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life”. Revelation 21:27

WHY HE CAME TO EARTH

Because Jesus knew how sinful we are. Because Jesus knew that heaven is a wonderful place and no sin can ever enter there. As you have read on Page 2.

Because Jesus loved us and wanted you and me to go to Heaven with Him. He came to make a way to Heaven for us.

He knew how wicked man has been And knew that God must punish sin;

So, out of pity, Jesus said He’d bear the punishment instead.

Read Isaiah 53:4-6

WHAT HE DID FOR YOU & ME

Although really God, He became man, because He loves us so much. Read John’s Gospel, Chapter 1.

By His life, here on earth, He proved that He was God and also a perfect man who never thought or did wrong of any kind. Read the Gospels for yourself and see.

He died on the Cross of Calvary, taking our punishment that we might go free. Read John’s Gospel Chapters 10,18 and 19. John 19:30 tells us that at the end Jesus said, “it is finished”

The way to Heaven has been made by His death. Because He was God, He rose again and will live for ever.

WHAT JESUS SAID

JESUS said: “Let the LITTLE CHILDREN come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these”. Mark 10:14

JESUS said: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life”. John 3:16

JESUS said: “I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life”. John 5:24

JESUS said: “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” . Matthew 11:28

WHAT HE WANTS ME TO DO

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved” Romans 10:9

MY DECISION

I believe that I am lost, as God’s Word tells me, I am a sinner. (I have rebelled against God).
I know that as such I can never go to Heaven where Jesus is.

BUT

I believe that Jesus came from Heaven and died for me at Calvary, and that, “It is enough that Jesus died and that He died for me”.
I believe that Jesus is now Risen from the dead and lives in Heaven.
I will confess Him to others whom I meet.
I now accept Him as my Saviour, and ask Him to come into my heart & life.

WHAT HAPPENS TO ME WHEN I TRUST JESUS

ALL my sins are forgiven immediately. Read Acts 13:38-39 “if we confess our sins. He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins.1 John 1:9
JESUS comes into my life. Read Galatians 2:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me” Revelation 3:20
I am “BORN AGAIN” into God’s family. Read John 3 “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” John 1:12

“You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus” Galatians 3:26

I receive ETERNAL LIFE. Read Romans 6:23 7 give them eternal life and they shall never perish” John 10:28
GOD’s Holy Spirit comes into my life to help me live for Jesus day by day. Read Romans 8:9 “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” 1 Corinthians 3:16
MY NAME is written in Heaven. Read Revelation 20:15 ” but rejoice that your names are written in Heaven”Luke 10:20

MY PROMISE

WITH GOD’S HELP I WILL

Endeavour to be true to Lord Jesus and to please Him in all i say & do.
Be kind and helpful to all I meet and return good for evil, day by day.
Endeavour to live the kind of life Jesus would like me to live and help others to trust in Him.

FOR JESUS SAID:

“If you love Me, you will obey what I command” “and His commands are not burdensome”.

EACH DAY NOW, I WILL

Ask Jesus to help me by talking to Him in prayer each morning & evening. Praying whenever I feel I need Him.
Seek to find out what Jesus wants me to do, by:

Reading my Bible every day, just a few verses – and ask Him to help me understand them.

Try to obey what He tells me in His Word – “for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to Trust and Obey”

4. Seek to tell others of the wonderful love of Jesus – MY SAVIOUR. John 14:15 1 John 5:3

MY SAVIOUR WILL

TAKE CARE OF ME all my days. For ‘….He cares for you”. 1 Peter 5:7 Read Psalm 23 and Matthew 18:10

KEEP ME all my days. “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand’ John 10:28

Read John 10

PROTECT ME all my days.” never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” Hebrews 13:5-6

GUIDE ME all my days.”this is the way; walk in it”. Isaiah 30:21

Read Proverbs 3:6

MY FUTURE — I WANT TO LIVE FOR JESUS

Read Romans 12:1-2, and ask someone to explain to you just what it means. ‘Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus’ 2 Timothy 2:3

WORK FOR JESUS

For He said: ‘Go into the world and preach the Good News to all creation’ and “….I will be with you always…”Mark 16:15 and Matthew 28:20

LOOK FOR JESUS

For He said: “Be on guard! Be alert!” Mark 13:33

Read Philippians 3:20-21 and Titus 2:11-14

WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN, OR WHEN I DIE

He will take me home to Heaven and share with me all He possesses. Read Romans 8:17, Colossians 1:16. We will always be together and I will know Him. When redeemed by His side I shall stand, by those prints of the nails in His hands.
