The Lord Jesus was paid the wages of your sin in His sufferings on the cross. Receiving Him as Savior is to receive the gift of God, which is eternal life.
In the Word of God, we find the only lasting and permanent cure for the root cause of all of mankind's problems--sin. This answer is the person of God's well-beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Trust Christ today, and you too can sincerely sing the words of the chorus above: That "whosoever" surely means me.

Actions speak louder than words. How wonderful it is that the holy scriptures, tell us that God saw us in our helpless condition, and decided to take action to save us from our sins--all because He loves us.
